Omron VP-1000 Measurement Process
Ask the patient to lay down in a supine position and relax
Apply the VP-1000's 4 blood pressure cuffs (1 to each arm, 1 to each ankle)
Apply the 2 ECG sensors to the inner aspect of wrists, using appropriate gel sensor pads
Place the PCG (Phonocardiogram) over the heart (left of the sternum, 2nd intercostal space)
Navigate the set-up screens inputting patient specific data as required (takes only minutes)
Once the patient is relaxed and the ECG/PCG sensors are indicating ‘OK’ on the screen,
press ‘START’
The VP-1000 will automatically complete test and produce printed reports
Once the test is concluded and the reports are printed, disconnect the VP-1000 from the patient
